Umm... found the movie "we're back!" on you tube. and far as i could tell last time i looked for it it hasnt been released on dvd in america T_T but it got me thinkin gof back home. i had this KILLER VHS collection. 650 movies easy. and that was before i started getting dvd's. and a lot of them i honestly DID still watch. so... i started doodling some far art ^_^ of all the old "class b" film. ones that may or may not have done so weelll but i enjoyed them even with the cheesy kinda dumb song and what nto.... soooooooooo the movies listed.....
The Small one (Don Bluth) Cale of Titan A.E. Rex from We're Back! A Dinosaurs Story! Chanteclier from Rock-a-doodle Odette from the Swan princess Itchy Itchiford from All dogs go to heaven Little Nemo from ... Little NEmo XD adventures in slumberland Mrs. Brisby (frisby in the book) from the secret of Nimh Rocco from PEbble and the PEnguin Tiger from An american tale and it's sequal Thumbelina From thumbelina... The princess from The princess and the goblin
all the characters concepts and dodads what not thingy doopers and anything else that belongs to the company that created these chacaters STILL own these characters. I am just one lowly fan girl
that is probably because there are so few other animation studios that have produces more than one or two little films besides disney. Don bluth is one of few who made for or six (or more) that are really memorable and have come cult classics, like most of these have. but not all of these are Bluth movies, although a good chunck of them are. Little Nemo in slumber land is a japanese movie that was brought over to America.
In the last Millenium? thats a pretty long time. But honestly.... most of them dont compare. Quality of entertainment in general has decreased. I would rather go back and watch all those old stupid cartoons that are considered dated than some... alright MOST of what they consider movies today. The pixar animation film are not too bad. but Disney and just about everyone else ? blech. All down hill. Give me duck tales, Darkwing Duck or tv and movies of that era over 90% of what they produce today.
Maybe it's a little strange because i am biased. After all I grew up with those movies, in that time frame where ... well pretty much every animated film was set to music in SOME way.... there are VERY few exceptions. But If people out there want to blame TV and video games for what is wrong with their children these days... lok at some of the stuff they are exposed to. My six year old sisters's favorite shows are greys anatomy and CSI. no wonder kids today are confused. they aren't kids. they are miniturezed adults...
ahem. sorry for the long response. you question evoked some thinking in me. Rare occassion that it. But ah thanks for the fave.
Thanks for the fave. ^_^ and ya... some disney movies really do suk. they need to do something other than sequals... i'm crossing my fingers for hte next few
I hear they're going to start doing some more of the hand drawn cartoons now. That's promising...though it all depends on whether they'll choose another cliche slapstick story again
